My dad called me this morning and told me his truck was broken into in his driveway. He told me that the only thing that was in his truck was his gym bag, so at least he did not lose anything valuable.

He would not have even known about the break in, but a policeman called him and told him that his bag was found down the street in a bush. I am glad he had his name on his bag because I think this was somewhat of a wake-up call for him. I have been telling him for months that the area where they live is changing. After I talked to him I did an online search for ADT security Piedmont and found a security system for their home.

My dad can pretty stubborn but I know he doesn’t want to move because he and my mom lived in that house for 36 years. She died two years ago, so I know he has sentimental attachment to the house. Hopefully the security system will make me feel better about him still living in that area.
